Some 74,500 residential units were sold in Romania in the first half of 2025, down 3.4% year-on-year. In Bucharest and Ilfov, sales fell by 7.9%, with a 10% decrease in Bucharest, in contrast to a 5% increase in Ilfov. The drop in new housing deliveries is the main factor affecting the residential market in Bucharest. Constanța became the largest regional market, with a 23.6% increase in sales.
