Romania's economy had one of the best performances in the EU, with a growth of 1.2% in Q2 2025, while the employment rate decreased by 0.2%.

In the second quarter of 2025, the eurozone economy grew by 0.1%, while the European Union grew by 0.2%. Romania had a remarkable performance, with a GDP growth of 1.2%, alongside Croatia. However, the employment rate decreased by 0.2% in Romania, in contrast to increases in other states such as Bulgaria. Romania's GDP grew by 0.3% compared to Q2 2024, according to INS data.
