Romania has received a record financial allocation of over 500 million euros through the EEA and Norwegian grants, intended for development projects.

The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, stated that the new financial allocation of over 500 million euros represents 'a new and significant chapter' in the relationship with European partners, emphasizing the importance of a partnership based on trust.

Romania has previously benefited from nearly one billion euros through EEA and Norwegian grants, used for projects in areas such as renewable energy, environmental protection, education, and judicial reform. Pîslaru highlighted the positive impact of these funds on communities, mentioning that each project has been a 'story of transformation and success.' The new allocation is considered a 'vote of confidence' in Romanian institutions and in the partnership with donor countries, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.
