This summer, companies in Romania will have access to significant amounts, exceeding 8 billion euros, from European funds and state aid, according to the REI Group analysis. Already, 4 billion euros are available from 13 funding programs, and the Government will allocate another 4 billion for economic recovery, in the context of the recession.
Over 2 billion euros are allocated for green energy and logistics. The aid targets both companies that wish to invest in regional development and local public administrations that can request non-repayable support for energy efficiency projects, renovation of old buildings, education, and digitalization. Among the funding programs are schemes for the manufacturing industry, zero-emission transport, and the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, all aimed at stimulating investments and increasing production efficiency. The Romanian Parliament has adopted measures for economic recovery, with budgets exceeding 4 billion euros, focusing on six development directions.
