On July 2, 2024, Petrom announced a reduction in the price of standard gasoline by 5 bani per liter, marking the first price drop since July. In Bucharest, gasoline now sells between 7.02 and 7.08 lei per liter, and diesel between 7.31 and 7.36 lei. The reduction comes after a series of six consecutive price hikes, and in total, prices have risen by 21 bani for gasoline and 40 bani for diesel in the last 30 days.
