Nike will significantly decrease production from China for the US market in response to new trade tariffs imposed by the Trump administration. Around 16% of Nike footwear sold in the US comes from China, but this will fall to single-digit figures by May 2026. The company will redistribute production to other countries and evaluate cost cuts at the corporate level. Although sales fell 12% in the fourth quarter, financial results beat expectations, and Nike expects a moderate revenue decline in the fiscal first quarter. Challenges in China remain significant, but analysts expect Nike will not lose significant market share.
