Eugen Rădulescu, adviser to the NBR governor, said that the current government program is the best in the last 35 years and has the potential to bring significant benefits to the Romanian economy. He underlined that the proposed measures could prevent a possible VAT hike and keep public debt below 60% of GDP. Rădulescu also mentioned the necessary reforms in ANAF, Antifraud and Customs, which will be reorganized to function efficiently, based on indicators and digitalization. The 20% cut in central administration staff was also highlighted as a necessary measure, although it will require legislative changes.
