Elon Musk, co-founder of OpenAI, has filed a lawsuit, accusing OpenAI and Microsoft of profiting from his early support and seeking damages of up to 134 billion dollars. Musk claims that the companies have gained unjustified profits, estimating that OpenAI made between 65.5 and 109.4 billion dollars, while Microsoft made between 13.3 and 25.1 billion dollars, due to his contributions during the time he was involved in the startup, starting in 2015. Musk invested approximately 38 million dollars, representing 60% of the initial funding, and played a crucial role in the development of the project.

OpenAI has rejected the allegations, calling the lawsuit 'unfounded' and part of a 'harassment' campaign by Musk, while Microsoft denies any complicity. Both companies contest the financial assessments presented by Musk, deeming them 'fabricated' and 'without precedent'. The trial is set to begin in April, after a judge in Oakland, California, approved its continuation. Musk left OpenAI in 2018 and now leads the rival company, xAI.
