Isărescu highlighted the technical assistance received in the process of institutional transformation, mentioning the frequent visits of Governor Christodoulou to encourage reforms. He also recalled Alpha Bank, the first Greek bank to invest in Romania, contributing to the establishment of the Bank of Bucharest, the first commercial bank with Western capital. Isărescu presented Stournaras's academic and professional background, emphasizing the importance of his expertise in the economic field. In the context of a complex international economic environment, Isărescu stressed the need to learn from the lessons of the past to face current challenges.
