The Ministry of Finance issued 800 million lei in government bonds with a residual maturity of 79 months and an average yield of 7.31% per annum. The nominal value of the issue was RON 400 million and banks subscribed almost RON 1.2 billion. An additional auction is scheduled to attract another RON 60 million. In July 2025, the Ministry plans total borrowing of RON 6.595 billion to refinance public debt and finance the budget deficit.
