As of January 1, 2023, employees with more than 2 years of seniority can no longer be paid the minimum wage.

GEO 142/2021 introduced this provision in the Labor Code, stipulating that the minimum wage can be applied to an employee for a maximum period of 24 months, after which he/she must be paid a higher wage.
