These "possible solutions" were presented to representatives of the Free Naval Union with whom Minister Irineu Darău had a working meeting, as part of the ongoing social dialogue he conducts with trade union partners in the strategic sectors of the industry, it is stated in a press release from the Ministry of Economy.

"The 2 Mai Mangalia Shipyard is going through a difficult and uncertain situation following the bankruptcy and related judicial procedures, this situation being generated by many years of neglect and wrong decisions. In the last year, both at MEDAT and at the Government, we have ensured that we generate the best opportunities for this shipyard to have a future. The cooperation agreement within the SAFE program, including the military ships part, demonstrates that the state has secured orders that could be fulfilled, if the conditions are met, within a shipyard in Romania," said Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău.
