In May, the net assets of the 248 investment funds in Romania increased by 3% to RON 50.5 billion (EUR 10 billion). The best performing local funds recorded net annual returns between 10.8% and 19.5%. Local open-end funds had net outflows of RON 142.8 million, while foreign funds increased by 7.5% to RON 2.23 billion. Alternative funds increased by 3.7% but had net outflows of RON 9.6 million.
