Hidroelectrica has convened shareholders on May 29 to approve the distribution of a special dividend of 1 billion lei, representing surplus generated from revaluation reserves.

This proposal comes in the context in which the company has already announced dividends of 3.3 billion lei for the annual General Assembly on April 28.

In 2025, Hidroelectrica reported a net profit of 3.3 billion lei, 20% lower compared to 2024, but 10% above the revised budget. The company recorded operational results 10% higher than budget estimates, although electricity production was affected by less favorable hydrological conditions.

The state owns 80% of Hidroelectrica through the Ministry of Energy.
