The Competition Council has fined four companies a total of 2.3 million lei for rigging public tenders organized by CNAIR.

The Competition Council imposed fines totaling 2,317,896 lei (approximately 466,000 euros) on the companies Tredeco Holding SRL, Trecon Logistic SRL, Data Capture SRL, and Geo Drumuri Banat SRL for rigging public tenders organized by the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR). The fines were distributed as follows: Trecon Logistic SRL - 187,718 lei, Tredeco Holding SRL - 1,790,037 lei, Data Capture SRL - 229,624 lei, and Geo Drumuri Banat SRL - 110,515 lei.

The investigation revealed that the four companies coordinated their behavior in the context of seven public procurement procedures for the maintenance of national roads, through the exchange of sensitive information, which led to the restriction of competition. Competition law prohibits such agreements, and the fines imposed will contribute to the state budget. The decisions of the Competition Council are enforceable and will be implemented by ANAF.
