The Federation for Innovation and Sustainable Competitiveness in SMEs (FICSIMM) launches a call to prevent tax increases in the context of the formation of the new government. SMEs, crucial to Romania's economy, are already being hit by tax increases and operational costs. An increase in the tax burden could lead to bankruptcies, lower investments and economic destabilization. FICSIMM points out that SMEs contribute over 60% of private sector jobs and that an aggressive fiscal policy could accelerate deindustrialization and economic migration.
