Romanians are showing a growing interest in investing in bitcoin, although the price of the virtual currency has fallen recently.

On August 20, 2025, the price of bitcoin reached $113,649 (€97,729), down from its previous peak of $115,784 (€99,493). Compared to last week, when the coin reached $123,887 (€105,985), the current value reflects a downward trend, despite Romanians' growing interest in investing in cryptocurrencies.
