The listed stocks in Europe started April with a significant rebound, after March was the weakest month of 2022, according to CNBC. The Stoxx 600 index ended the day with a 2.5% increase, with all major exchanges and sectors in the positive, except for companies in the oil and gas sector. The British FTSE 100 rose by nearly 1.9%, the German DAX by 2.7%, and France's CAC 40 gained 2.1%. The increases were driven by statements from U.S. President Donald Trump, who announced the withdrawal of forces from Iran. In the energy sector, Brent oil fell by 1.9%, while futures contracts for U.S. oil dropped by 1.6%. Vestas, a Danish wind energy developer, received new orders in the U.S. and the United Kingdom, and Citi analysts recommended buying its stocks. On the other hand, Rightmove's stocks fell due to a collective action in court, and Nike warned about declining sales, especially in the Chinese market.
