Electrica and Romgaz have signed a Memorandum for the development of up to 400 MW of renewable energy production and storage capacity.

The two companies will collaborate through a dedicated investment vehicle, with Electrica as the main developer and Romgaz as a minority partner. This initiative aims to integrate operational competencies and production capacity, contributing to national renewable energy goals by 2030. Electrica's CEO, Alexandru Chiriță, emphasizes the importance of collaboration for the energy transition, following the attraction of 500 million EUR from green bonds. Romgaz, through its general director, Răzvan Popescu, reaffirms its commitment to investments in clean energy, strengthening Romania's energy security.
