In August 2025, the deposits of resident non-government clients decreased by 0.4%, reaching 632.656 billion lei, although the deposits in lei of households slightly increased. The M3 money supply decreased by 0.1% compared to July. Non-government credit increased by 0.4%, while government credit rose by 0.8%. Compared to the previous year, the deposits of residents increased by 7%, and non-government credit by 8%. Additionally, foreign currency deposits had mixed developments, with increases in households but decreases in other sectors.
