The Schwarz Group, which owns the Kaufland and Lidl chains in Romania, plans to take over the La Cocos stores, and the Competition Council is analyzing the transaction. The authority will assess the market impact and invite retailers and suppliers to comment on the acquisition. La Cocoș operates four stores in Romania and the analysis aims to assess the compatibility of the operations with a normal competitive environment. Comments can be sent within 20 days.
