BYD Romania continues to strengthen its position as a leader in the electrified vehicle market, ranking 1st in NEV registrations (electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles) in March 2026.

The brand stands out by not including models with conventional fuel, which enhances its relevance against competitors. In March, BYD recorded remarkable performances, having three models in the top 5: SEAL U DM-i, Dolphin Surf, and SEALION 7. The SEAL U DM-i was declared the best-seller in the PHEV segment, both in March and for the entire year of 2026. Dolphin Surf ranked 1st in segment A, demonstrating the attractiveness of the BYD range.

By the year 2026, the brand has registered over 840 NEV units, distancing itself from competitors.

Additionally, BYD holds the top position in the BEV segment (electric vehicles), having three models in the top 10 most registered electric vehicles.

These results underline BYD's commercial success and the growing interest of customers in electrified mobility, positioning the brand as a key player in the transformation of the automotive market in Romania.
