Alexandru Nazare, the Minister of Finance, announced that he has agreed with his colleagues in the governing coalition on a schedule for the approval of the state budget for 2026. In a few days, the budget ceilings will be approved, followed by consultations with the ministries. The budget draft will be published in mid-February, and in the second half of the month, it will be debated and voted on in Parliament. Nazare emphasized the importance of alignment among the coalition parties to ensure a common pace in the budget approval process.

Additionally, measures for administration and the continuation of economic recovery, reflected in the 2026 budget, were discussed. The minister mentioned that the budget execution for 2025 was good, with an implementation rate of over 90% for most ministries, and emphasized the need for a sound budget based on rigorous analyses. The priority remains economic recovery through the absorption of European funds and sustainable investments.
