BSOG Energy, a company owned by Black Sea Oil & Gas and indirectly controlled by the American giant Carlyle, is in the licensing process to become the second supplier of biomethane in Romania, after Engie. The company already has two production projects underway with capacities of 57 MW and 15 MW and is analyzing new investments, in the context of new regulations prepared by the Ministry of Energy for the integration of biomethane into the national gas network, without impacting tariffs.
