Astra Vagoane Călători from Arad announces a new contract with NATO

The Astra Vagoane Călători factory in Arad is expanding into the military production sector, already having a contract in progress for special wagons intended for NATO.

Valer Blidar, the main shareholder of the factory, announced that the unit is NATO authorized for the manufacture of command wagons and that it has already delivered several units in the last three years. Currently, the company is preparing to sign a new contract for 20 military wagons intended for military medicine, considering that the necessary funding has been secured.

Technical details about the wagons have not been disclosed for confidentiality reasons.

Alongside military production, Astra Vagoane Călători is also working on a new contract for civil passenger wagons intended for Romania.
