The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) is preparing an offensive against companies that use insolvency and preventive concordat to escape state debts. The president of ANAF, Adrian Nica, announced that control procedures will be drastically intensified, extending to individuals behind indebted firms. This measure is part of a broader effort to protect the state budget and combat tax evasion. Nica emphasized that many firms accumulate debts and enter insolvency, thereby reducing their financial obligations. ANAF will analyze the assets of individuals controlling these firms and, in cases of abuse, will be able to initiate procedures to hold them personally accountable. The goal is to prevent the transfer or artificial reduction of debts to the state through networks of firms in insolvency.
