In 2024, financial transfers from Romanians working abroad had a positive impact on the national economy. At the same time, an increasing number of foreign workers from outside the European Union started to send significant amounts of remittances to their families, thus contributing to a partial reversal of previous financial imbalances. Romania is gradually transforming from a simple supplier of labor into a major hub for international money transfers.
