The Ministry of Finance borrowed 752 million lei from banks, at a yield of 7.46% per annum, through a government bond issue

The Ministry of Finance on Monday launched a government bond issue, borrowing 752 million lei with a maturity of 35 months and an average yield of 7.46% per annum. The nominal value of the issue was 500 million lei and banks subscribed 1.198 billion lei. The Ministry also planned to borrow RON 5.4 billion in May 2025, with the possibility to add another RON 660 million through additional sessions.
