Niculai, a Romanian beggar who spent entire weeks near the train station in Den Bosch, Netherlands, has mysteriously disappeared, and his place has been quickly taken by Ioan, who claims to be his nephew. The Dutch police suspect that behind these beggars there may be an organized network exploiting vulnerable individuals.

Niculai, who dreamed of returning home for Christmas, arrived in the Netherlands after being dismissed from a job in Germany. His disappearance has raised questions, especially since Ioan stated that Niculai managed to return to Romania, which has not been confirmed. Authorities are investigating the possibility of forced begging, considering that there were similar cases last year in other Dutch cities. The municipality of Den Bosch has created a network of professionals to help homeless migrants, but many of them, including Ioan, avoid assistance.
