The Romanian Embassy in the United Kingdom is making an appeal to the Romanian community to identify British schools that will host courses in Romanian Language, Culture, and Civilization (RLCC) in the 2026-2027 school year. These courses, funded by the Romanian authorities, are intended for Romanian students in the diaspora and are currently being held in several public schools in the UK.

Romanians are encouraged to contact the school management to express their interest in organizing optional Romanian language courses, using a letter template available online or by sending the contact details of the schools to the Embassy. The courses are structured for different levels of education, are conducted free of charge, and are optional, taking place for two hours a week.

The teaching staff is selected by the Romanian Language Institute, with the courses being taught by Romanian citizens residing in the United Kingdom. The deadline for including schools on the official list is May 14, 2026.
