The incident took place at the Esselunga store in Stezzano, where a young Romanian was caught by security agents while trying to leave with two bags full of luxury products, valued at a total of 2,834 euros. The young man was accompanied by a young woman he had met a few days earlier, who was filling the bags with perfumes and cosmetics. Their plan failed when the young man tried to pass under the entrance barriers, being stopped by the security agent. The police were alerted, and the young man was arrested.
In court, it was discovered that he had a criminal record but had previously been acquitted for a minor offense. Now, he admitted that he had planned the theft out of financial necessity, having a low salary in Romania. He accepted a plea agreement, receiving 4 months of suspended prison and a fine of 300 euros, the sentence not appearing on his record if he does not commit other offenses in the next five years.
