The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, welcomed the conclusions of the Romanian authorities' investigation regarding the drone that hit an apartment building in Galați. The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, announced that the final technical report unequivocally confirms that the device was a Geran-2 drone, manufactured in Russia.

Zelensky thanked for the clarifications provided, emphasizing that the evidence contradicts Kremlin propaganda. In a post on X, he stated that the facts are an antidote to Putin's lies and reiterated Ukraine's willingness to collaborate with Romania and European allies to face the threats generated by Russian aggression. The technical report was based on technical evidence, including the analysis of electronic components and the inscription in Cyrillic characters found at the impact site. Zelensky mentioned that the results of the investigation will be communicated to NATO allies and the European Union.
