The yellow code for severe weather affects most regions in Muntenia, including Bucharest, the mountainous areas of the Carpathians, and parts of Transylvania and Moldova, according to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM).
Meteorologists warn that atmospheric instability phenomena will occur, such as torrential downpours, electrical discharges, wind intensifications with gusts of 50-70 km/h, and small hail. Rainfall amounts can reach 20-30 l/m², and isolated areas may exceed 40-50 l/m², increasing the risk of local flooding.
The yellow code indicates temporary dangers for activities, and authorities recommend avoiding travel during storms and paying attention to updates issued by ANM and IGSU.
