A woman from Dâmbovița was detained for fraud after she persuaded a minor from Lipănești to hand over jewelry worth 17,000 lei.

On December 15, 2025, the police launched an investigation following a report from the Lipănești commune, where a woman claimed that her daughter, a 15-year-old minor, had been deceived by an unknown woman. The woman approached her on the street under the pretext of asking for information about a place of worship and used fraudulent maneuvers to gain the victim's trust. By misleading her, the woman convinced the minor to hand over the valuable jewelry she had on her. The damage was estimated at approximately 17,000 lei. The police identified the suspect, a 24-year-old woman from Dâmbovița County, who was detained for 24 hours. The court ordered a preventive measure of judicial control.
