Meteorologists announce above-average temperatures in Romania in the last days of January and in February, with abundant precipitation in the southern regions.

According to the weather forecast for the period from January 26 to February 23, 2026, Romania will record higher temperatures than the climatological averages for this period. In the week of January 26 to February 2, the thermal values will be above normal, with more pronounced deviations in the southeast of the country, and precipitation will be more abundant, especially in the southern regions and in the Southern Carpathians.


In the period from February 2 to February 9, the weather will remain warmer than usual, with a high rainfall regime in the south and east. The trend will continue in the week of February 9 to February 16, when temperatures will remain slightly above average, and precipitation will be above normal in the southwest. Towards the end of the period, between February 16 and February 23, the thermal values will continue to exceed the multiannual averages, while the amounts of precipitation will generally be around those specific to the period.
