Tourism operators claim that the summer season of 2025 was disappointing, with the exception of a few weekends in August. Hoteliers in resorts such as Mamaia and Eforie are preparing to close, starting from September 1, due to the low number of bookings and high operating costs. A possible cause of this decline could be the reduction in the value of vacation vouchers, which no longer provide a sufficient financial incentive for tourists.
