Vlad Pascu, sentenced to 10 years in prison for a fatal accident, asked the Constanta Court of Appeal to reduce his sentence.

Vlad Pascu, the perpetrator of the 2 Mai accident in August 2023, had his last court date at the Court of Appeal in Constanța, where his defense lawyers asked for a reduction of the 10-year sentence. They invoked a denunciation made by Pascu in another drug trafficking case. The court stayed its ruling, and the lawyer for one of the victims' families said that in his opinion the request for a reduced sentence would be rejected. Vlad Pascu was found guilty of manslaughter and other offenses, being under the influence of prohibited substances at the time of the accident.
