A man from Arad has been sent to trial for murder and deprivation of liberty, accused of dragging his former partner with a car, causing her death.

The Prosecutor's Office next to the Arad Tribunal has sent to trial a man accused of murder and illegal deprivation of liberty, after he had an argument with his former partner at her workplace in August 2025.

During the altercation, the woman scratched the man on the face, and he reacted by starting the car with her hanging from the door, dragging her for a kilometer and a half at a speed of over 100 km/h. After he let her go, the woman fell onto the asphalt, suffering serious injuries. Her body was later found, and the autopsy confirmed that the death was caused by multiple cranio-cerebral traumas. The case has been forwarded to the Arad Tribunal for resolution.
