Liberal MEP Virgil Popescu stated that the social democrats are about to break the governing Coalition, distancing themselves from collaboration with PNL, as they 'no longer want Bolojan'. In an interview for Terra Sat, Popescu emphasized that PSD is heading towards a point of no return in the Coalition, questioning what the social democrats will do on April 20.

He mentioned the internal consultations of PSD and Sorin Grindeanu's meetings with the local branches in the country, specifying that two more regions are to be consulted after Easter. Popescu highlighted that, regardless of personal feelings towards Ilie Bolojan, the liberals will not accept PSD changing the prime minister or the president. This situation underscores the tensions within the Coalition and the future political uncertainties.
