The Vintilă Vodă commune will remain without public lighting, after the local administration decided to suspend this service due to the financial problems faced by the commune's budget. The announcement was made on the Facebook page of the City Hall, which emphasized that the measure is necessary to reduce expenses and ensure the functioning of other essential public services.
Mayor Ion Coman stated that the decision was not made lightly and that public lighting will be restored as soon as the financial situation improves.
The Vintilă Vodă commune, located in a wooded area of Buzău County, frequently faces the appearance of bears, and the lack of public lighting increases the sense of insecurity among locals, especially at night.
The authorities have not provided an estimated timeline for the resumption of public lighting.
