Former Prime Minister Victor Ponta launched a harsh message on Facebook, in the context of incidents involving drones that entered Romanian territory. Ponta characterized Romania as a "village without dogs," led by the "fools of the village," and called for a radical change in the political class. His criticisms come amid concerns regarding national security, expressing his horror at how Russian and Ukrainian drones penetrate into Romania.

He accused the authorities of incoherence in their response, emphasizing that, depending on the origin of the drones, the reactions are completely different. Ponta pointed out that, despite investments, Romania is "totally unprepared" and called for a complete reset of the governmental system. His post generated strong reactions, reigniting the debate about the Romanian state's ability to manage security risks in an increasingly complex regional context.
