Veronica Leonte, a doctor at the 'Cuza Vodă' Maternity Hospital and former inspector at the County Health Insurance House, has been appointed interim director of the 'Sfânta Maria' Children's Hospital, replacing Radu Constantin Luca, who resigned a week after his appointment, following a scandal related to the deaths of seven children due to nosocomial infections. Leonte has 17 years of experience in the health sector, specializing in quality management and adherence to medical protocols.
