The National Museum of Romanian History has announced the discovery of important archaeological artifacts in the tumular necropolis of the ancient city of Callatis, including gold ornaments and two carved sarcophagi. These artifacts, dating from the 3rd century BC, provide valuable insights into Greco-Traco-Macedonian culture. The well-preserved tomb was identified at a depth of 9 meters and is part of a major burial mound. Research continues, given the importance of these finds for the national cultural heritage.
