USR Senator, Ștefan Pălărie, announced that his party will call on Florin Barbu, the Minister of Agriculture, to the Government Hour to explain the proposal to limit private label products in large stores, a measure presented to European officials.

Pălărie accuses the PSD minister of plagiarism, stating that the proposal is similar to a project submitted by AUR parliamentarians. He demands clarifications regarding the official position of the Government and the National Authority for Consumer Protection regarding this proposal. Additionally, Pălărie mentioned that USR ministers are targeted by PSD, especially those who have announced significant reforms. In response, Florin Barbu denied the plagiarism accusations, arguing that the measure is beneficial for Romanian producers and that high prices for local products compared to private labels are not healthy for the market.
