Pete Hegseth said foreign engineers should not have access to Defense Department systems, following concerns raised by Senator Tom Cotton about Microsoft's hiring of Chinese engineers. Cotton requested information about companies hiring Chinese personnel and the training of American digital supervisors. Microsoft responded that it would ensure that Chinese teams would not provide technical support for Pentagon systems.
