Over 6,900 young people are competing for a place in the undergraduate studies at UMF Carol Davila

The 'Carol Davila' University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest recorded a new record in 2026, with 6,916 candidates registered for the 1,947 available places in the admission competition, which will take place on July 26.

Compared to 2025, the number of candidates increased by 3,039, and compared to 2024 by 2,712. The University’s offer includes 985 places in Medicine, 274 in Dentistry, 114 in Pharmacy, and 574 in Midwifery and Medical Assistance. Admission to the Midwifery programs will be based on applications, for the first time. The enrollment figures reflect the increased interest in medical education, and Rector Viorel Jinga emphasized the importance of this success for the university's reputation.

Tuition fees range between 8,000 and 19,000 lei per year, and 18 winners of national and international olympiads will be admitted without competition. The competition will take place at ROMEXPO, and registration was done exclusively online.
