Two 19-year-olds from Prahova County were apprehended by the Bihor Police after they defrauded dozens of Romanians, obtaining their personal data under the pretext of securing advantageous loans. Between January 31 and October 6, the two claimed to be representatives of non-banking financial institutions, contacting 19 people from across the country. After the victims provided the necessary information, the young men requested online loans in their names, causing an estimated loss of approximately 60,000 lei. The police raided their homes, confiscating phones, computers, and 23,700 lei. The young men are accused of continued fraud and will be presented to the Prosecutor's Office for legal measures. The investigation continues under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office next to the Salonta Court.
