Police officers in Buzău have opened an investigation against two women, aged 30 and 35, suspected of online romance fraud. They allegedly persuaded five men in the UK to send them money promising romantic relationships. The total estimated damage is more than £20,000. On April 16, searches were carried out in Pogoanele, where cash and other evidence was seized. The women were detained for 24 hours and the investigation is continuing to clarify the entire criminal activity.
