The police in Maramureș identified two 14-year-old teenagers from the commune of Crucișor, Satu Mare County, who directed a laser beam at an aircraft landing at Maramureș International Airport. The incident was reported in September, and investigations established that the laser attack was an offense under Law no. 21 of 2020 regarding the Air Code. This law prohibits the use of light beams directed at aircraft, considering it a danger to flight safety.
