Two men have been sent to trial for tax evasion in a continuous form, after selling 2,328 second-hand cars brought from abroad through four companies, without declaring part of their income and making fictitious purchases. The damage caused to the state amounts to almost 20 million lei.

According to the Prosecutor's Office next to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, during the period 2019-2020, one of the defendants coordinated the activities of the four commercial companies, which generated undeclared income of approximately 49.7 million lei and recorded fictitious purchases of goods and services amounting to 53.1 million lei. Prosecutors have taken precautionary measures, including seizure of cars, properties, and accounts, and the case has been forwarded to the Bucharest Tribunal for the continuation of the process.
